Tillie's Overnight Cole Slaw

I meet Tillie in Victorville, California we both worked at a Bar/Nightclub called The 1849'er in the late '70's in old town Victorville. Tillie could have a dinning room full of customers and no customer had to tell her twice what type of drink they were drinking. - Donna Schumacher


  • 1 medium cabbage, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 sweet green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium size can pimentos, drained
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup oil
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt

Mix together cabbage, onion, pepper and pimento. Set aside in sauce pan. Combine honey oil, vinegar, sugar salt.

Boil hard for one minute. Pour over veggies. Mix well. Put lid on jar. Refrigerate 3 days. Good until it is used up.
