Barbecue Sauce

Yield: about 5 cups
Chop 2 onions and sauté in 2 tbsp butter or margarine. Add all the remaining ingredients and simmer for about 1 hour.

  • 3 cups ketchup
  • 1 12-oz. bottle chili sauce
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¾ cup dark brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup dark molasses
  • ⅓ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp liqid smoke[1]
  • ½ cup Yoshida's original teriyaki sauce[2]
